This original poppy painting in acrylic on board combines the rich crimsons and pinks of summer poppies with a deep, velvety-blue background and white foreground. This is part of an evolving series of poppy paintings inspired by varieties grown in my garden.

The ‘St Ives’ style frame is hand built in Cornwall without glazing so the textural qualities may be fully appreciated. The painting is protected from dust and UV light with several coats of professioanl art varnish.
